National Teach-In on Reparations and Self-DeterminationNovember 12, 2023

History was made on November 12th, 2023, when the Afrodescendant Nation gathered Reparations activists across the country and diaspora to voice their support for Reparations and Self-Determination.

This virtual event comes after the National Reparations Conference was held at Georgia State University on October 7th, 2023 when scholars, activists and students gathered to lend their support for Reparations and Self Determination.

Pioneers in the Reparations movement the Honorable Silis Muhammad and his wife Attorney Harriet Abubakr gave the history of their 17-year battle in the United Nations to establish an international identity for slave descendants throughout the Diaspora.

Attorney Malik Zulu Shabazz, the newly appointed 'Conductor' of the Reparations Movement and attorney for 2 Black men who were beaten, tortured and tormented, by Rankin County Sheriff's deputies, served as moderator.
